Holmes 525

The 12 ton (model code “FA”) 525 wrecker was built from January 1950 to May 1963, with a total of 3540 units built. It replaced the W35 model that had been in production since 1931.

With large (20”) drums and a capacity of 250 ft of 7/16th cable on each drum as well as outrigger legs it is a versatile medium recovery wrecker.

Available with the traditional panel type body or the new platform body that was to carry through to the last of the mechanical wreckers.

There are still model 525 wreckers operating as recovery units today – a testimony to the durability and excellent design of this wrecker.
