The History of Holmes Wreckers
History Models Identification Links Contact Us

I am trying to record some of the history of the Holmes Wrecker Company from the start in 1916 until 1991 when it became part of Miller Industries.

This is a work in progress as many of the records have been lost over the years.

I am always looking for more information and literature, and appreciate corrections and additions to the information that is posted.

I started in the towing business in 1970 running a Holmes 440 at a Shell Station so my personal knowledge starts in that era.
